How to grow Encyclia 

Encyclia plants thrive in pots or baskets with a medium-grade epiphytic mix or mounted on slabs without moisture-retaining material around the roots. They require very bright light and intermediate to warm temperatures. During active growth, water regularly, allowing the roots to dry slightly between waterings. Once the season’s pseudobulbs have matured, reduce watering.

These orchids do not respond well to frequent root disturbance and may take more than one growth cycle for new pseudobulbs to regain their previous size. Additionally, Encyclia roots are sensitive to old, decomposed potting media, so regular repotting with fresh mix is essential for their health.
