MONSTERA lechleriana Peruvian type locality
Our mother monstera lechleriana came from Peru, but it is also know to occur in Bolivia, Columbia, Brazil, and Ecuador. The exact same genetic plant? We don't know just yet. Science and time will tell. We have certainly seen at least 4-5 different distinct lechleriana thus far.
Lechleriana is found in premontane wet forest, Tropical moist forest and Tropical wet forest life zones.
Produces a large pale white to light yellow flower with a light fragrance.
