LEAFLESS ORCHID "Thai Ghost Orchid" 

Chiloschista spp. (Kanchanaburi) yellow, Red Lip may produce a few tiny leaves during the summer, but it is typically leafless. The long flower spike can hold up to 30 small, very fragrant flowers similar to vanilla.

Native to SE Asia. They enjoy high humidity and daily water. You do not want to see algae growth and it must dry out between watering.  Like most orchids they appreciate good air movement. In nature they do experience a dry winter/early spring. 

Leafless orchids enjoy bright indirect light [2,000-3,000 ft candles] and intermediate temperatures. Spring/early summer bloomer. 

Plants are mounted on plastic simulated wood. Chiloschista prefer a hardwood like oak or any other fast drying mount. Meaning, it does NOT retain water like corkwood. [Our opinion. Others grow on cork]
